A good den for the winter.
We're a small Madison company with one idea: everyone who lives through a Wisconsin winter deserves a warm place to sit at the end of the yard.
The badger doesn't fight the winter. It digs in, gets cozy and waits out the cold in good company.
That seemed like the right idea for a state that named itself after the animal. Wisconsin already has the lakes, the snow and the long, dark evenings that make a sauna make sense. Plenty of us have Finnish, Swedish or Norwegian grandparents who'd have built one without a second thought.
What it didn't have was a local, honest way to get one: no freight from three states away, no flat-pack weekend, and no guessing who to call when a door sticks. So we started building them here and installing them ourselves.
Three things we won't compromise.
Built simply
Wood, steel, stone and fire. Few parts, no gimmicks, nothing that needs an app to work. A good sauna is a very old technology, and we try not to improve it to death.
Built to last
Thermally modified timber, stainless hardware, raised cradles and proper airflow. The details you can't see in a photo are the ones that decide whether it's still standing in thirty years.
Built nearby
We deliver every sauna ourselves and live within driving distance of every customer. When you call, the person who answers knows your sauna.
A badger, inside a barrel.
Our emblem is the end of a barrel sauna as you'd see it walking up the path: a ring of staves, with the Badger State's own animal looking out from the warm side.
